I ship apps through Apple's review. I can help you ship yours.

Independent iOS developer and author. I build, submit and maintain my own apps, solo, across iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac. Three are live on the App Store today.

For developers and studios

App rejected? I'll get it through.

Apple's rejection notes are short and vague, and every round in the Resolution Center costs a week. Some problems only appear at upload: an ITMS error, a missing export-compliance key, an archive refused for its build machine. They have nothing to do with the code you wrote.

Send me Apple's message and I'll tell you, free, within 24 hours, whether it's fixable and what it will take. If it's a business-model problem no code can fix, I'll say so rather than take your money.

  • FreeTriage: a 15-minute call, or a reply by email.
  • $750Single-issue fix: naming and metadata, Info.plist and export compliance, build and signing, a missing permission string.
  • $1,500Several issues, or changes to the code.

Half up front, half on resubmission. If Apple rejects again for the same reason, the next round is free. Diagnosis within 24 hours and resubmission usually within two to three working days; nobody can honestly promise Apple's review speed. Your account stays yours: you add me to App Store Connect with the role the work needs, and never share your Apple ID password.

  • CapLoc for Mac was rejected under guideline 5.2.5. I traced it to a missing build setting, not the display name everyone checks first, and fixed and resubmitted it the same day. It was approved about 26 hours later.
  • Found why local archives were being refused (ITMS-90111, a beta build machine stamped into the binary) and moved builds to Xcode Cloud.
  • Caught a regenerated project silently dropping export-compliance keys and rolling the build number back below what Apple had already seen.

For coaches, clinicians, communities and small businesses

Your first iOS app, as a small fixed-price first version.

Agencies quote five figures, freelancers vanish halfway, and most people need a smaller first version than they think. We start by finding that version.

  • $750Scoping sprint, one week: a written spec, a clickable prototype and a fixed price for the build. Credited against the build. If you stop here, you keep all of it and can take it to anyone.
  • Fixed priceThe build, priced from the sprint: SwiftUI for iPhone, through TestFlight and App Review, handed over in your own developer account.

One developer means one build at a time, and a scope that has to fit. I'd rather tell you that now.

  • Three live apps in three different fields, each built and shipped solo through App Review. You can download them.

For authors, coaches, therapists and newsletter writers

Your existing writing, turned into a month of short video.

The platforms reward volume, filming yourself every day is exhausting, and paying an editor per clip adds up. Send me a book chapter, a newsletter archive or a set of posts, and you get 30 finished vertical reels: narrated, with on-screen text that follows the voice, your artwork or a matched visual style, and licensed music.

  • $90030 finished 9:16 reels from your writing.

Your words are never trimmed to fit: a long passage gets another card, not a shorter sentence. Narration in your own voice only with your written consent, and every caption says plainly that the narration is AI-generated.

  • 90 reels produced and posted for LUMA's launch across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

About

Ott Bryan

I'm the founder of JourneyM8 and the author of five books. I taught myself to code in 2025 so I could build the apps I'd been designing for years, and I now build, submit and look after them on my own.
